Mortimer's Boathouse

Lake Muskoka, Ontario  |  BOATHOUSES  |  2,000 sq. ft  |  TRADITIONAL

Mortimer’s Boathouse sits gracefully on Mortimer’s Point along Lake Muskoka—a refined new-build designed to complement its natural surroundings while elevating lakeside living.

This three-slip, single-storey boathouse was thoughtfully conceived to mirror the architectural language of the existing cottage, creating a seamless connection across the property. At the same time, it maximizes storage, comfort, and space for entertaining.

Every detail was approached with intention. Custom eyebrow timbers and bespoke copper soffits establish a distinct character, while shaded lounge areas offer inviting spaces to gather and unwind by the water. Inside, a palette of nautical blues and warm wood tones is layered with striking Ambrosia marble slabs. Copper accents, drawn directly from the stone’s natural veining, add warmth and cohesion throughout.

Designed for both beauty and performance, the boathouse features a cooling soffit misting system for warm summer days, a lowering swim platform for effortless lake access, and a custom kayak winch lift for ease of use.

The result is a boathouse that balances craftsmanship, comfort, and functionality—an elegant extension of the cottage and a sophisticated hub for life on Lake Muskoka.
